FDI net inflows, annual
Annual global FDI net-inflows panel, 1970 onward: foreign direct investment net inflows (BoP, current US$) — new investment inflows less disinvestment, 10%-ownership threshold — for every country and aggregate published in the World Development Indicators (BX.KLT.DINV.CD.WD; underlying data: IMF Balance of Payments Statistics, via the keyless World Bank API v2; CC BY-4.0). One row per country x year; carries the 1-year change, the trailing 3-year mean, a disinvestment flag and a persistent-disinvestment flag. The panel is ragged upstream (reporting lags differ by country): null observations are dropped, never imputed; lumpiness is kept verbatim in the level series. Values are current US dollars — cross-year comparisons mix price and volume effects. Who joins this: investment analysts join on year + country_code with trade/macro panels; capital-flow and country-risk models use the flags; fdi_3y_avg_usd is the low-noise destination-ranking feature.
