Value-added panel of the World Bank's World Development Indicators (keyless API v2, CC BY 4.0; ITU-sourced series): internet use (% of population), mobile cellular subscriptions and fixed broadband subscriptions (per 100 people) for ~230 economies, 1990-2024, with the mobile-minus-fixed infrastructure gap, 10-year changes, within-year ranks, a low-connectivity flag and a mobile-first flag. The digital-divide layer for telecom investors, market-entry analysis and SDG 9.c/17.8 monitoring; joins on economy_code with the catalog's other World Bank panels.

| economy_name | string | Economy name as published by the World Bank API. |
| region | string | World Bank region (API field region.value). |
| income_group | string | World Bank income group (API field incomeLevel.value). |
| year | integer | Reference year (1990-2024; 2025 carries only a thin upstream vintage — 42/32/32 cells — and is dropped; see module docstring). |
| internet_users_pct | float | Individuals using the Internet as a share of population: individuals who have used the Internet (from any location) in the last 3 months, via computer, mobile phone, games machine, digital TV etc. (WDI indicator IT.NET.USER.ZS; ITU World Telecommunication/ICT Indicators Database). (unit: % of population) |
| mobile_subs_per_100 | float | Mobile cellular telephone subscriptions per 100 people: subscriptions to a public mobile telephone service providing access to the PSTN using cellular technology (postpaid + active prepaid); excludes data cards, USB modems and telemetry (WDI indicator IT.CEL.SETS.P2; ITU World Telecommunication/ICT Indicators Database). Can far exceed 100 in multi-SIM markets (FJI 2024 = 574.15). (unit: per 100 people) |
| fixed_broadband_per_100 | float | Fixed subscriptions to high-speed access to the public Internet (TCP/IP, downstream >= 256 kbit/s) per 100 people: cable modem, DSL, fiber-to-the-home/building, satellite and fixed wireless; excludes mobile-cellular access (WDI indicator IT.NET.BBND.P2; ITU World Telecommunication/ICT Indicators Database). (unit: per 100 people) |
| mobile_minus_fixed_gap | float | Mobile subscriptions per 100 minus fixed broadband subscriptions per 100. Large positive values are the mobile-leapfrog signature (mobile-first markets); the direction is never gated. (unit: per 100 people) |
| internet_change_10y | float | Trailing 10-year change of internet use; null when the base year is absent. (unit: percentage points) |
| mobile_change_10y | float | Trailing 10-year change of mobile subscriptions per 100; null when the base year is absent. (unit: per 100 people) |
| broadband_change_10y | float | Trailing 10-year change of fixed broadband subscriptions per 100; null when the base year is absent. (unit: per 100 people) |
| internet_rank | integer | Rank of internet_users_pct within the year (1 = highest internet use); null where the internet series is null. (unit: rank) |
| broadband_rank | integer | Rank of fixed_broadband_per_100 within the year (1 = highest fixed broadband penetration); null where the broadband series is null. (unit: rank) |
| low_connectivity_flag | integer | 1 when fewer than half the population is online (internet_users_pct < 50); null when the internet series is null. |
| mobile_first_flag | integer | 1 when mobile subscriptions exceed fixed broadband by >= 100 per 100 people (the mobile-leapfrog signature); null when either leg is null. |
| row_hash | string | Deterministic 12-hex row identity hash (economy_code|year). |
