ILO ILOSTAT
Unemployment rate for ages 15-24 by sex, annual, for ~190 countries. ILO modelled estimates (ILOEST), vintage Nov. 2025 — dataflow DF_UNE_2EAP_SEX_AGE_RT.
IMF DataMapper
The number of unemployed persons as a percentage of the total labor force.
Labor Market Signals (derived)
Daily-row labor-market signals derived from FRED's US labor series: the Sahm-rule recession indicator on the unemployment rate (trigger flag + consecutive-month streak), 30-period annualized volatility of changes, 3-month momentum, 3-sigma anomaly flags, naive-drift 1-month forecasts, a per-date cross-series volatility rank, and the 4-week moving average on weekly jobless claims. Covers UNRATE (monthly unemployment rate), PAYEMS (monthly nonfarm payrolls), ICSA (weekly initial claims, seasonally adjusted) and CCSA (weekly continued claims, seasonally adjusted). All rows are normalized to country_code USA so they join cleanly with US macro data. Raw series: Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis (FRED).
US Labor-Market Slack Signals (derived)
Monthly US labor-market slack signals from BLS duration and underemployment series (FRED UEMPMEAN 1948 ->, U6RATE 1994 ->): 3-month momentum, year-on-year change, 30-month change volatility, 3-sigma anomaly flags, naive-drift forecasts, a long-duration (>=27 weeks) flag, an elevated-underemployment (U-6 >= 10%) flag, and 5-year z-scores for both. The slack lens on US labor — complementing us-labor-market-signals (headline levels) and sahm-labor-recession-signals (recession trigger) by watching unemployment duration and underemployment, where labor-market pain concentrates. All rows normalized to country_code USA. Raw series: U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (Current Population Survey) via FRED.
OECD
Unemployment as a percentage of the labour force (OECD measure UNR: "Unemployment rate"), for OECD members, G20 non-members and major aggregates. Includes the Outlook's two-year projections. Unit: percent of labour force (UNIT_MEASURE=PT_LF).
OECD Key Economic Indicators
Monthly unemployment rate (OECD KEI measure UNEMP: "Unemployment"), as a percentage of the labour force, calendar and seasonally adjusted, for OECD members, key partners and major aggregates.
Sahm-Rule Labor Signals (derived)
Monthly US Sahm-rule recession signals from the BLS unemployment rate (FRED UNRATE, 1948 ->): the 3-month average unemployment rate minus its 12-month low (pp), with the 0.50pp recession trigger flag, a 0.30pp warning flag, a fast-rise flag, 3-month momentum, 30-month change volatility, 3-sigma anomaly flags, drift forecasts, a 5-year z-score, and the 12-month unemployment-rate change. The rule-based, transparent companion to us-recession-probability-signals (model probability) and the deterioration lens on us-labor-market-signals (raw levels). All rows normalized to country_code USA. Raw series: U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics via FRED.
Statistics Norway (StatBank)
Norway's Labour Force Survey (AKU): unemployment rate (LFS), unemployment (thousands), employment (thousands) and labour force participation, seasonally adjusted, by sex and age, monthly from January 2006. Source: StatBank table 13760.
Norway Macro Momentum Signals (derived)
Value-added Norwegian macro signals derived from the free Statistics Norway StatBank labour-force survey and consumer price index (CC-BY-4.0): unemployment-rate, participation-rate and employment momentum with 3-month annualized rates, 2-year z-scores and 3-sigma anomaly flags, plus headline CPI momentum — a compact Norway macro-momentum dashboard for oil-economy and Nordic watchers. All computation is local pandas/numpy; no paid models or APIs.
Statistics Canada
Statistics Canada Labour Force Survey headline rates (table 14-10-0287-01): unemployment rate, labour force participation rate and employment rate, seasonally adjusted, for Canada and the 10 provinces; total gender, age 15 years and over. Monthly, in percent.
US State Unemployment Signals (derived)
Value-added regional labor signals derived from FRED's free BLS state unemployment-rate series: all 50 states plus the District of Columbia, monthly seasonally adjusted. Each row carries change volatility, 3-month momentum, 12-month change (pp), a trailing-1y rate z-score, 3-sigma anomaly flags, naive-drift 1-month forecasts, a per-month cross-state volatility rank, and the cross-state unemployment dispersion gauge (regional labor-market divergence). All computation is local pandas/numpy; no paid models or APIs.
Global Growth-Inflation Momentum Signals (derived)
Annual global macro-momentum signals derived from the IMF World Economic Outlook (~196 countries, 1980 -> 2031 including WEO projections as published): real GDP growth, CPI inflation and unemployment rates with 1-year and 3-year changes, 30-year change volatility, 3-sigma anomaly flags vs a trailing 10-year baseline, naive-drift 1-year forecasts, a per-year cross-country volatility rank, the growth-acceleration gauge, the misery index (inflation + unemployment) and a stagflation screen (growth < 1% with inflation > 5%). All rows are country-normalized to verified ISO alpha-3 codes (IMF analytic aggregates excluded) so they join cleanly with other country-keyed datasets. Raw data: IMF World Economic Outlook; derived signals by Frontier Data Hub.
