U.S. federal outlays by agency, monthly
Monthly U.S. federal outlays by department/agency from the Monthly Treasury Statement Table 5 ("Outlays of the U.S. Government"): the 30 stable department-level total rows — gross outlays, applicable receipts and net outlays for the month, fiscal-year-to-date, and prior-fiscal-year-to-date — in dollars. The department panel is the same one the Treasury's own Spending Explainer charts (data_type_cd=T, sequence_level_nbr=2, line_code_nbr<=5690); the 30 departments' monthly net outlays sum exactly to the published on-budget + off-budget outlay totals, and every issue is identity-gated on that. Net outlays can be negative when a department's receipts exceed its outlays (kept verbatim, e.g. Undistributed Offsetting Receipts). Monthly detail from October 2014.
