  • Canada Monetary Policy Signals (derived)

Canada monetary policy signals (policy stance, curve slope, funding stress)

Daily-to-monthly monetary-policy signals derived from Bank of Canada Valet data: 30-period annualized change volatility, 3-month momentum, year-over-year change, 3-sigma anomaly flags, naive-drift 1-month forecasts, a per-date cross-series volatility rank, plus the real policy stance (target rate minus YoY CPI inflation), the CORRA-target funding-stress spread, the 10Y-2Y Canadian curve-slope spread and a policy-move streak tracker (consecutive hikes/cuts). Covers the BoC target for the overnight rate, the overnight rate, CORRA, 2Y/10Y benchmark bond yields and total/trim/median/common CPI inflation. All rows are normalized to country_code CAN so they join cleanly with Canadian macro data. Raw data: Bank of Canada (Valet API).

  • Canada Pump-Price Signals (derived)

Canada pump-price signals (retail fuel prices by city, StatCan monthly)

Retail pump-price signals derived from Statistics Canada's monthly average retail gasoline, diesel and household heating fuel prices: cents per litre by city/province and fuel type since 1979, with month-on-month and year-on-year changes, 3-month momentum, 12-month annualized change volatility, 3-sigma anomaly flags vs a trailing 12-month baseline, naive-drift 1-month forecasts, per-month cross-city momentum ranks, and each city's spread versus the national average. The monetizable signals layer on top of raw StatCan retail fuel prices. Raw series: StatCan via the CKAN open-data portal (monthly average retail prices for gasoline and fuel oil).

  • Elections Canada 44th GE campaign finance (agent-curated)

44th GE candidate money-vs-votes intelligence (Canada)

Candidate-level campaign-finance intelligence for Canada's 44th general election (2021-09-20): every candidate with at least one reviewed contribution record, joining Elections Canada's consolidated reviewed contributions file (filtered to Candidates, 44th general election) with the official Table 12 candidate results. Each row carries fundraising aggregates (total/average/max contribution, donor count, top-10 donor concentration), official votes and vote share, and derived money-vs-votes intelligence: cost per vote, fund share vs vote share, fund_vote_efficiency = vote_share / fund_share (>1 punched above its money), money rank and value rank within the riding, riding winner/runner-up fundraising context, and top_fundraiser_won / underdog_win flags. Entity resolution: accent-folded (district, name) join with a closed bilingual party map; 579/580 recipients matched (99.8%), the one unmatched recipient dropped, never imputed. Primary key: candidate_id (EC44-<district number>-<name slug>). Join keys: country_code CAN, electoral_district_number, election_date. Nullability: cost_per_vote_cad null when votes = 0; fund_vote_efficiency and value_rank_in_riding null when the riding total is 0; riding_runnerup_funds_cad null in single-candidate ridings. Caveats: only itemized/reviewed contributions appear (small donations below reporting thresholds are invisible); fundraising covers the campaign period only; efficiency is descriptive, not causal. Agent-curated by intel-2 (2026-09-26): collection = two keyless official downloads; transformation = aggregation, entity-resolved join, documented money-vs-votes scoring.

  • iNaturalist US & Canada species observation velocity (agent-curated)

iNaturalist US & Canada species observation velocity (weekly)

Weekly leaderboard of the most-observed species on iNaturalist (keyless official API v1, verifiable observations only) for the trailing 7 complete UTC days, separately for the United States (place_id=1) and Canada (place_id=6712) — one row per country x species x week, up to 500 species per country. Taxon entity resolution on the stable iNaturalist taxon id (non-species ranks, inactive and extinct taxa dropped loudly); iconic-taxa closed-set classification; a documented 0-100 velocity_score = 100*(0.6*min-max log10 weekly observations + 0.4*min-max log10 weekly share of lifetime observations), computed within each country and ranked as velocity_rank (ties: weekly count desc, taxon_id asc), with high/medium/low velocity_tier and a plain country_rank by weekly count; emergence_flag marks species with >= 0.5% of lifetime observations in the single week on a >= 100-observation base. Day-granular as-of stamping makes same-day re-runs frame-identical; late-uploaded observations drift historical weeks slightly. Per-row taxon page and country-specific API query URLs. Primary key: (week_start, country_code, taxon_id). Caveats: counts reflect observer effort/geography, not abundance (charismatic, urban bias; US list dominates by volume); lifetime counts are a point-in-time denominator. Only aggregate counts stored (factual statistics) -> commercial_use=yes with iNaturalist attribution. Sample use: order by velocity_rank within a country for the week's most-watched species, or filter emergence_flag = 1 for unusual activity spikes.
