Enterprises using paid cloud computing services (annual)

Annual share of enterprises (10 persons employed or more) using paid cloud computing services, by service type, for EU member states, EFTA countries, EU candidate countries and EU/euro-area aggregates. Eurostat dataset isoc_cicce_use ('Cloud computing services'), filtered to freq=A, size_emp=GE10 ('10 persons employed or more'), nace_r2=C10-S951_X_K (all activities except agriculture, forestry and fishing, and mining and quarrying, without the financial sector), unit=PC_ENT ('Percentage of enterprises'). Each row is one (year, country, cloud service). The 11 'indic_is' codes are the headline E_CC ('Enterprises using paid cloud computing services used over the internet') plus the 10 paid-service subtypes: e-mail (E_CC_PEM), office software (E_CC_PSOFT), hosting of the enterprise's database (E_CC_PDB), storage of files (E_CC_PFIL), finance or accounting software (E_CC_PFACC), CRM software (E_CC_PCRM), computing power to run the enterprise's own software (E_CC_PCPU), ERP software (E_CC_PERP), security software (E_CC_PSEC), and the hosted application development/testing/deployment platform (E_CC_PDEV). Method: Eurostat's annual survey on ICT usage in enterprises, self-reported by national statistical offices; non-EU/EFTA/candidate countries (the UK, Kosovo) are dropped (same licensing rule as the other Eurostat datasets). Units: percent of enterprises. Caveats: the cloud module is fielded most years but not every year (observations exist for 2014-2018, 2020, 2021 and 2023-2025; the connector is declared yearly with no-op refreshes in off years); the subtype shares are shares of all enterprises, not of cloud users, so they sum above the headline only when firms buy several services (no double counting: each row is one service); the UK and Kosovo are dropped by the connector's commercial-use geo rule; the EU27_2020 and EA aggregates are included as published. Coverage: ~40 geographic units after the geo rule, 2014 to the present. Provenance: Eurostat keyless JSON-stat API, free reuse with attribution (Commission Decision 2011/833/EU) - please cite Eurostat. Primary key: (year, country_code, cloud_service). Join keys: country_code (ISO 3166-1 alpha-3), year. Cadence: refreshed yearly; Eurostat updates the ICT indicators in spring. Sample use: filter cloud_service='E_CC' to track enterprise cloud adoption over time, or cloud_service='E_CC_PERP' for ERP-in-the-cloud uptake.
