Quarterly Canadian household balance-sheet strain intelligence from Statistics Canada's financial indicators of households and non-profit institutions serving households (table 38-10-0235-01, seasonally adjusted, book value): credit-market-debt-to-disposable-income, debt-to-GDP, debt-to-net-worth, debt-to-assets, net-worth and owner's-equity cushions, effective interest costs, and consumer-credit/mortgage composition, 1990-Q1 to the latest published quarter. Method: quarter-over-quarter and year-over-year momentum in percentage points, historical percentile ranks and distance-from-peak deleveraging context, and a documented 0-100 household strain score (leverage 35% + interest burden 25% + fragility 20% + net-worth cushion 10% + equity cushion 10%, min-maxed over the full 1990-present sample) with quartile strain tiers and deleveraging / elevated-burden / thin-equity / record-strain flags. Units: percent ratios, percentage points, 0-100 score. Caveats: book-value ratios, revised quarterly; the NPISH-inclusive sector publishes only three indicators (score and flags are Households-only); effective interest costs are unadjusted quarterly rates.
