Monthly US state unemployment-rate intelligence from the BLS Local Area Unemployment Statistics statewide program (keyless BLS Public Data API v2): seasonally adjusted unemployment rates for the 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico, with MoM / YoY / 3-month percentage-point changes, a documented 0-100 labor-distress score with per-month ranks and distress tiers, rising / falling / rapid-rise / 12-month-record-low/high flags, and month-level context: the national headline rate, each state's gap to it, the national spread, and rising/falling breadth. Consistent methodology window 2017-01 onward. Caveats: the latest month is preliminary and routinely revised; state estimates are model-based and benchmark-revised annually.
