Canadian merchandise trade-partner intelligence (monthly)
Monthly Canadian merchandise trade-partner intelligence from Statistics Canada table 12-10-0011-01 (balance-of-payments basis, seasonally adjusted, 1997-01 onward): a partner x month panel of imports, exports and trade balances for Canada's 27 principal trading partners (ISO alpha-3) plus the All-countries total and a derived rest-of-world bucket (the EU aggregate is excluded to avoid double-counting its member states). Partner shares of total trade, MoM/YoY momentum, per-month surplus/deficit balance_rank, persistent 12-month surplus/deficit flags, a documented 0-100 trade_exposure_score ranked as exposure_rank with a1..a4 tiers, monthly partner-concentration HHI, and the USA's export/import shares as month-level context. Units: CAD millions, percent, scores. Caveats: principal-partner roster is fixed (residual bucket mixes large unlisted and small partners); StatCan revises recent months; first 12 months carry null YoY columns. Primary key: (month, partner_name). Cadence: monthly; as_of is the latest published month, so identical input produces an identical content hash.
