BLS Employment Cost Index, 12-month compensation change
Quarterly U.S. employer cost changes from the BLS Employment Cost Index (ECI): 12-month percent changes in total compensation, wages and salaries, and total benefits for all civilian workers, plus total compensation for private industry workers. Current dollars, not seasonally adjusted. The ECI is the BLS's headline measure of labor-cost inflation; the 12-month change is the series BLS emphasizes for wage-pressure analysis.

Units follow the series definition: employment and unemployment levels are in thousands of persons/jobs, average hourly earnings in dollars, weekly hours in hours, rates in percent, and CPI/PPI series in index points. Missing observations are null. |
