What to export from Sage 300

Five lists from Sage 300, as CSV or Excel, are enough for the health check and the order plan. Here is where each one lives and how to export it.

The five lists, and where to find them

Export these lists as CSV or Excel, as far back as your ERP allows (two years of sales is best):

  1. Items, with their cost, unit and supplier.

    Where · Inventory Control › I/C Items.

  2. Stock on hand by branch, with the minimum and maximum if you use them.

Where · Inventory Control › I/C Location Details, one line per item and location.

  3. Sales lines (or the item ledger’s sales entries), with date, branch and quantity.

Where · Order Entry › O/E Invoices, with their detail lines.

  4. Purchase order lines and receipts, with the dates.

Where · Purchase Orders › P/O Purchase Orders and P/O Receipts, with their detail lines.

  5. Suppliers, with their usual lead time.

    Where · Accounts Payable › A/P Vendors.

How to export

In Sage 300, use File › Export on each screen (Items, Location Details, Day End history, Vendors).

When the export asks which fields to include, keep them all; for invoices, orders and receipts, keep the detail lines with their header.

  • Column names in English or French both work: you rename nothing.
  • Report footers and totals are left out by our reader; nothing is parsed in your browser.

Send your exports for a free health check

We read them, ask you what the data cannot tell us, and send back a report of the stock you could return, sell down or stop buying, each figure as a range.
