State-level chronic-disease signals derived from the CDC Chronic Disease Indicators: prevalence, mortality and hospitalization trends for diabetes, cardiovascular disease, COPD and mental health across 55 US states/territories (2019-2023), with year-on-year changes, momentum, 3-sigma anomaly flags vs a trailing 3-year baseline, naive-drift 1-year forecasts, cross-state momentum ranks, and Black-White and female-male disparity gaps. The monetizable health-equity signals layer on top of raw CDC chronic-disease statistics. Raw series: CDC Chronic Disease Indicators (Socrata).
NIH RePORTER — Federal Research Funding Intelligence
State x fiscal-year panel of U.S. federal biomedical and health research funding from the NIH RePORTER v2 Projects API (keyless), trailing five federal fiscal years (FY2022-FY2026 as of 2026-09; the window rolls forward each October). One row per state/territory and fiscal year (56 x 5): total awarded costs in USD (the publisher's total_cost — direct plus indirect — summed over matching-FY funding entries), the number of projects with a reported cost (n_cost_reported — costs are published only for NIH/CDC/FDA/ACF projects), project and organization counts, the state's share of the national total, within-window year-over-year change (null for the first window year), a deterministic funding rank within the fiscal year, and the top funding institute. Method: per-state per-FY paging under the API's 15,000-record cap (~280 polite POSTs), sorted by appl_id and deduplicated; closed 56-code geography with a loud org_state cross-check; deterministic 16-hex row hashes. Units: USD; shares and YoY as fractions. Caveats: the national total covers the 50 states + DC + 5 territories (foreign awards excluded); the current FY is partial and grows with the weekly refresh; prior awards are routinely revised upstream, so snapshots can change without new awards. Quarterly housing-momentum signals derived from FHFA All-Transactions House Price Indexes (FRED, 50 states + DC + US national, 1975 ->): quarter-on-quarter and year-on-year price changes, 30-quarter change volatility, 3-sigma anomaly flags vs a trailing-12-quarter baseline, drift forecasts, per-quarter cross-state volatility ranks, state-vs-nation divergence gaps, 10-year house-price z-scores, cycle-position percentiles, and boom/cooldown flags. The state-breadth companion to the national housing signals. Country codes normalized to ISO alpha-3 (USA). Raw data: Federal Housing Finance Agency via FRED.
