Income share held by highest 20%
Income share held by the richest quintile of the population, in percent. The World Bank publishes the indicator in the World Development Indicators from national household survey data (PovcalNet / household survey archives); where income data are unavailable, consumption shares are used. The 8-country panel is covered 2000-2024, with observations only in household-survey years (19 of 24 cells non-null for 2020-2022); values are null where no survey exists for that year and are never interpolated. Units: percent of total income or consumption.
