Fixed broadband subscriptions (per 100 people)
Fixed broadband subscriptions per 100 inhabitants — wired high-speed access to the public Internet (DSL, cable modem, fibre-to-the-premises and other wired broadband technologies), for the 8-country panel (USA, Canada, UK, Germany, France, Japan, China, India). Mobile-cellular and satellite subscriptions are excluded by construction. The World Bank publishes the indicator in the World Development Indicators from the International Telecommunication Union (World Telecommunication/ICT Indicators Database). It completes the connector's connectivity triad alongside the internet-users (% of population) and mobile-cellular-subscriptions (per 100 people) datasets: subscription density behind internet usage shares. The 8-country panel is covered 2000-2024; values are null where national statistics are unavailable and are never interpolated. Units: subscriptions per 100 people.
