Per-decision policy communication tone for the U.S. Federal Reserve (FOMC post-meeting statements and meeting minutes) and the Bank of Canada (fixed-announcement-date press releases), 2021 to the latest published decision. Each document is scored with a documented deterministic hawkish/dovish phrase lexicon v1.0.0 (longest-match-first non-overlapping counting on word boundaries, no model, no network): tone_score on -100 (dovish) to +100 (hawkish), a 0-100 tone_index, the shift versus the previous decision of the same bank and document type, and a trailing-8-decision z-score. The announced policy action (hold/hike/cut) and target rate level are parsed from the same documents with explicit patterns. Who joins this: a macro/rates desk or FX quant joins per-decision communication tone to their yields, FX, or positioning tables on bank + decision_date; a strategy or investor-relations team joins tone shifts to rate-announcement calendars on decision_date. Only aggregate scores are stored — full source texts stay at their official URLs.
