Daily log of U.S. Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation press releases observed in the Corporation's official GovDelivery RSS topic (keyless): one row per distinct release with headline, canonical URL, feed publication date, and a section derived from the headline label (press-release, sunshine-act-notice, board-meeting, other). Method: the feed is polled and deduplicated by feed guid; the frame is deterministic per feed state, so an unchanged feed mints no new snapshot. Units: one release per row; pub_date is an ISO date; country_code is the USA join key. Complements the Call Report-based fdic_bank_health connector (bank financials) and the other publisher press-release logs (SEC, Bank of Canada): this is the raw FDIC communications log — bank failure announcements, enforcement orders, deposit survey results, CRA examination lists. No summary column: release bodies carry FDIC media-contact phones/emails that would trip the hub PII gate; the canonical link reaches the full release. Caveats: the feed surfaces roughly the last 25 releases, so the log tracks what the Corporation is publishing now rather than a complete archive.
