Annual US payroll-cadence compliance panel from the keyless U.S. Department of Labor Wage and Hour Division 'State Payday Requirements' table (revision 2023-01-01; transcribed and verified 2026-09-30): one row per jurisdiction (50 states + District of Columbia + Puerto Rico). Each row carries the frequency boxes checked in the DOL table (weekly / bi-weekly / semi-monthly / monthly) with the footnote numbers behind them, the derived strictest required frequency (the most frequent checked box — the statutory floor; rule-derived semimonthly for Montana via footnote 13, explicit nulls for the six states with no frequency regulation), minimum payments per year, a conservative maximum interval between paydays in days, three exception flags (employee-class, commissioner-approval, sector-limited scope), a documented 0-100 restrictiveness index (100 = weekly, 0 = monthly, linear in the maximum legal inter-payday interval), and a human-readable rule note. Method: jurisdiction names entity-resolved to USPS codes + 2-digit FIPS through a closed map; the 25 DOL footnotes transcribed verbatim as the audit trail; frequency boxes classified into a canonical strictest frequency; unregulated states keep nulls, never zeros. Caveats: the DOL table is a summary last revised 2023-01-01 and states amend statutes — re-verified annually; what each 'X' means varies by state (see the footnotes); confirm against the relevant state labor office before acting on it. U.S. federal public domain (commercial reuse allowed with attribution to the U.S. Department of Labor, Wage and Hour Division).
