    Quarterly Canadian goods trade flows (table 36-10-0023-01, balance of international payments, current account) from Statistics Canada: receipts (exports of goods) and payments (imports of goods), seasonally adjusted, in millions of Canadian dollars, for Canada's 27 principal trading partners plus the EU aggregate, the United Kingdom, 'Total of all countries' and 'Other countries not elsewhere classified'. Coverage 1997-Q1 to the present, complete (no upstream gaps at the time of writing). Caveats: partner series overlap — the 'European Union excluding the United Kingdom' aggregate contains the separately published member states (Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain), so partner values are not additive; the latest quarter is occasionally revised. Coverage 1997-Q1 to the present. Negative values are genuine deficits (kept verbatim — e.g. Total of all countries 2026-Q1 = -6,397 before a 2026-Q2 surplus of 12,204). Caveats: partner series overlap (see the companion flows dataset), so partner balances are not additive; the latest quarter is occasionally revised.
