Life expectancy at birth and at 65, Canada and provinces

Life expectancy at birth (exact age 0) and at age 65 from Statistics Canada table 13-10-0114-01 (complete life tables, three-year estimates): the average number of years a person at exact age 0 or 65 would live if the age-specific mortality rates of the three-year reference period (e.g. 2022/2024) applied throughout their life. Covers Canada and the nine provinces published by StatCan — all except Prince Edward Island, which the table excludes by design, and the three territories, which are not published — each split into both sexes, males and females, for every three-year period from 1980/1982 to 2022/2024. The connector derives the female-minus-male life-expectancy gap per province, period and age, and each province's difference from the national value — the standard lenses for mortality-reversal and provincial health-gap analysis. StatCan publishes a new rolling three-year estimate roughly once a year. Values are years with two decimals, straight from the life-table arithmetic, never modelled. Caveat: reference periods overlap (1980/1982, 1981/1983, ...), so consecutive observations share two years of mortality data and are not independent.
