    arXiv monthly submissions by category

    Monthly e-print submission counts for 16 major arXiv categories (AI, machine learning, NLP, computer vision, robotics, software engineering, cryptography, HCI, databases, information retrieval, multiagent systems, neural/evolutionary computing, statistical ML, econometrics, computational finance, signal processing), trailing 6 complete calendar months, from the keyless arXiv query API (https://export.arxiv.org/api/query, descriptive metadata under CC0 1.0). Each row is one (category, month): e-prints submitted that month. Method: one submittedDate range query per category per month (the API returns HTTP 500 for deep offsets, so per-month ranges are used instead of a deep newest-first crawl) with the 3 s inter-request delay the arXiv Terms of Use require; papers are counted once, in their original submission month (the earliest announcement date of the unversioned id). Caveats: cross-listed e-prints are counted in every category they appear in; a paper whose newest version falls in the window but whose original submission predates it is attributed to the earliest version seen.

    Monthly electricity generation by source and country (Ember)

    Monthly electricity generation, generation mix shares, CO2 emissions and emissions intensity by electricity source for around 230 countries and economies plus regional aggregates, from Ember's harmonized monthly electricity dataset (https://files.ember-energy.org/public-downloads/generation/outputs/release_generation_monthly_global.csv). Each row is one (month, area, electricity source): generation in TWh with year-on-year changes, share of that area's generation in percent, CO2 emissions in MtCO2e with year-on-year changes, share of emissions, and emissions intensity in gCO2e/kWh, alongside area metadata (ISO alpha-3 code, continent, Ember region, EU/OECD/G20/G7/ASEAN membership). Method: Ember harmonizes national statistics; sources flagged is_aggregated_source=True (Clean, Fossil, Renewables, Total generation, Wind and solar, 'Hydro, bioenergy and other renewables') are composites of the granular sources, and 'Demand'/'Net imports' are balance rows. Units: TWh for generation, MtCO2e for emissions, gCO2e/kWh for intensity, percent / percentage points for shares and changes. Caveats: YoY-change columns are empty for each series' first 12 months; regional aggregates have no iso3 code; the latest 1-2 months are provisional and routinely revised. Coverage: worldwide, 1998-12 to the present, monthly granularity. Provenance: Ember keyless public CSV, CC BY 4.0 - please cite Ember (ember-energy.org).     Monthly imports and exports of the EU27 (from 2020) in million euro, by partner, for total trade in goods (SITC Rev.4 all products). Eurostat dataset ext_st_eu27_2020sitc ('EU27 (from 2020) trade by SITC product group'). Each row is one (month, partner, flow): trade value in million euro. Method: Eurostat compiles customs and Intrastat declarations reported by EU member states; partner 'CN_X_HK' is China excluding Hong Kong, and aggregates (EU27_2020, EXT_EU27_2020, EFTA, ASEAN, ...) are included as published. Units: million euro. Caveats: recent months are provisional and revised as late declarations arrive; values are not seasonally adjusted. Coverage: EU27 trade with 56 partners, 2002-01 to the present, monthly.
