Renewable electricity output (% of total electricity output)
Share of electricity generated by renewable power plants in total electricity generated by all types of plants, for the 8-country panel (USA, Canada, UK, Germany, France, Japan, China, India). The World Bank publishes the indicator in the World Development Indicators from the IEA Energy Statistics Data Browser (International Energy Agency, accessed 2025-03-25). Pairs with the renewable-energy-consumption-share dataset (electricity generation vs total final energy consumption). Values are bounded by [0, 100] by construction. Values are null where national statistics are unavailable and are never interpolated. Units: % of total electricity output.
