Tertiary educational attainment, 25-64 (annual, Europe)

Annual share of 25-64 year olds whose highest completed education is tertiary (ISCED 2011 levels 5-8: short-cycle tertiary, bachelor's, master's and doctoral) - the EU headline tertiary-attainment indicator - for EU member states, EFTA countries, EU candidate countries and EU/euro-area aggregates. Eurostat dataset edat_lfse_03 ('Population in private households by educational attainment level'), filtered to isced11=ED5-8 ('Tertiary education (levels 5-8)'), age=Y25-64 ('From 25 to 64 years'), sex=T, unit=PC ('Percentage'). Each row is one (year, country). Method: Eurostat compiles the EU Labour Force Survey microdata transmitted by the member states; non-EU/EFTA/candidate countries (the UK) are dropped (same licensing rule as the other Eurostat datasets). Units: percent of the 25-64 population. Caveats: methodological breaks in national LFS series (flagged in Eurostat metadata) shift some countries' series; the UK is dropped by the connector's commercial-use geo rule; the EU27_2020 and EA21 aggregates are included as published. Coverage: ~37 geographic units after the geo rule, 1992 to the present, annual.
