Inland waterway freight performance (annual, Europe)

Annual inland waterway freight performance in million tonne-kilometres, by reporting country, for EU member states, EFTA countries, EU candidate countries and EU aggregates. Eurostat dataset iww_go_atygo ('Transport by type of good (from 2007 onwards with NST2007)'), filtered to freq=A, tra_cov=TOTAL ('Total transport': national plus international traffic loaded or unloaded in the reporting country), nst07=TOTAL ('Total goods', all NST 2007 divisions), typpack=TOTAL ('Total packaging') and unit=MIO_TKM ('Million tonne-kilometre (TKM)'). It is the performance twin of 'inland-waterways-freight-annual' (the THS_T slice of the same table): tonne-kilometres weight each tonne by the distance carried, so the two series together separate volume from distance effects. Each row is one (year, country). Method: Eurostat compiles inland waterway transport statistics reported by the member states. Units: million tonne-kilometres. Caveats: countries without navigable inland waterways publish nothing (genuine absence, never zero-filled); the table's historical EU aggregates (EU28, EU27_2007, EU25, EU15) are kept verbatim alongside EU27_2020; the UK and other non-EU/EFTA/non-candidate countries are dropped by the connector's commercial-use geo rule. Coverage: ~20 geographic units after the geo rule, 2007 to the present, annual. Provenance: Eurostat keyless JSON-stat API, free reuse with attribution (Commission Decision 2011/833/EU) - please cite Eurostat. Primary key: (year, country_code). Join keys: country_code (ISO 3166-1 alpha-3), year. Cadence: refreshed yearly; Eurostat updates the table each summer.
