House price annual rate of change, quarterly (percent)
Annual rate of change of house prices (year-on-year, in percent), published quarterly for EU member states, EFTA countries and EU/euro-area aggregates. Eurostat dataset prc_hpi_q ('House price index - quarterly data', unit RCH_A). Each row is one (quarter, country): the percentage change of the house price index relative to the same quarter one year earlier, covering purchases of new and existing dwellings (purchase=TOTAL). Method: computed from the quarterly house price indices compiled from national statistical offices; non-EU/EFTA/candidate countries are dropped (same licensing rule as the other Eurostat datasets). Units: annual percent. Caveats: negative values are genuine price declines and are kept; early quarters can show extreme values where a national series was rebased; the UK series is dropped by the commercial-use geo rule. Coverage: 37 geographic units after the geo rule, 2005-Q1 to the present, quarterly. Provenance: Eurostat keyless JSON-stat API, free reuse with attribution (Commission Decision 2011/833/EU) - please cite Eurostat. Primary key: (quarter, country_code). Join keys: country_code (ISO 3166-1 alpha-3), quarter. Cadence: refreshed quarterly; Eurostat updates the dataset in July. Sample use: filter country_code='ESP' to track Spanish house-price momentum.
