House price index, quarterly (2015=100)
Quarterly house price index (2015=100) for EU member states, EFTA countries and EU/euro-area aggregates. Eurostat dataset prc_hpi_q ('House price index - quarterly data', unit I15_Q). Each row is one (quarter, country): the index of residential property transaction prices with 2015=100, covering purchases of new and existing dwellings (purchase=TOTAL). Method: Eurostat compiles national house price indices from EU member states' statistical offices; non-EU/EFTA/candidate countries are dropped (same licensing rule as the other Eurostat datasets). Units: index points, 2015=100. Caveats: the UK series is dropped by the connector's commercial-use geo rule; some countries start later than 2005-Q1; the EU, EU27_2020, EU28, EA, EA21, EA20 and EA19 aggregates are included as published. Coverage: 37 geographic units after the geo rule, 2005-Q1 to the present, quarterly. Provenance: Eurostat keyless JSON-stat API, free reuse with attribution (Commission Decision 2011/833/EU) - please cite Eurostat. Primary key: (quarter, country_code). Join keys: country_code (ISO 3166-1 alpha-3), quarter. Cadence: refreshed quarterly; Eurostat updates the dataset in July. Sample use: filter country_code='DEU' to track German house prices against the 2015 baseline at quarterly resolution.
