Annual employment rate of recent graduates: the share of 20-34 year olds not in education or training who completed their highest level of education 1-3 years ago and are employed, for EU member states, EFTA countries, EU candidate countries and EU/euro-area aggregates. Eurostat dataset edat_lfse_24 ('Employment rates of young persons not in education and training by educational attainment level and years since completion of highest level of education', compiled from the EU Labour Force Survey), filtered to duration=Y1-3 ('From 1 to 3 years' since completion), isced11=ED3-8 ('Medium and high education': upper secondary, post-secondary non-tertiary and tertiary, ISCED levels 3-8), age=Y20-34 ('From 20 to 34 years'), sex=T ('Total') and unit=PC ('Percentage'). Each row is one (year, country): the employment rate of the cohort that left education 1-3 years earlier. The headline EU graduate-employment target (82% by 2030) is tracked on this slice. Method: Eurostat compiles the EU Labour Force Survey microdata transmitted by the member states; a graduate counts as employed under the ILO definition. Units: percent of recent graduates. Caveats: 2025 headline EU27_2020 = 82.9% (DEU 90.6%, FRA 77.8%); the rate mixes cyclical labour-market conditions with structural education effects; national LFS redesigns cause breaks in some series; the EU27_2020 and EA aggregates are included as published; the UK and other non-EU/EFTA/non-candidate countries are dropped by the connector's commercial-use geo rule.
