Adult learning participation rate by sex (annual, Europe)

Annual share of 25-64 year olds who participated in formal or non-formal education or training in the four weeks preceding the EU Labour Force Survey interview, broken down by sex, for EU member states, EFTA countries, EU candidate countries and EU/euro-area aggregates. Eurostat dataset trng_lfse_01 ('Participation rate in education and training (last 4 weeks)'), filtered to sex=M/F, age=Y25-64, unit=PC. It extends the headline dataset 'adult-learning-participation-annual' (the sex=T slice of the same table). Each row is one (year, country, sex): female participation runs at or above male participation in the large majority of published country-years (e.g. FRA 2025: 17.5% F vs 13.5% M; DEU 2025: 9.8% F vs 8.8% M). Method and caveats as the headline dataset; non-EU/EFTA/candidate countries are dropped (same licensing rule). Units: percent of the 25-64 population. Coverage: 37 geographic units after the geo rule, 1992 to the present, annual. Provenance: Eurostat keyless JSON-stat API, free reuse with attribution (Commission Decision 2011/833/EU) - please cite Eurostat. Primary key: (year, country_code, sex).
