FAO Food Price Index Intelligence
Monthly FAO Food Price Index intelligence (keyless official CSV): the UN FAO's flagship global food-commodity benchmark and its five sub-indices — Meat, Dairy, Cereals, Vegetable Oils, Sugar — in nominal index points (2014-2016=100), 1990-01 onward. Carries 1- and 12-month percent changes, deviation from the trailing 12-month average, rolling 12-month realized volatility (percentage points), and the percent below the trailing 60-month maximum (boom/bust gauge). One row per month x index; genuine upstream gaps are kept as nulls, never imputed. Data note: recent months' meat values mix projected and observed prices and are revised by FAO. Who joins this: food/CPG procurement teams join input costs on year_month + index_code; macro models use the FFPI as the global food-inflation pass-through feature.
SDG Goal Progress Signals (derived)
Value-added UN Sustainable Development Goal progress signals: 10-year progress rates, cross-country improvement z-scores, naive drift projections to the 2030 deadline, and on-track/off-track flags for poverty, electricity access, safe drinking water, and maternal mortality across ~200 countries. All computation is local pandas/numpy; no paid models or APIs.
