Trained teachers by education level, % of teachers (UNESCO UIS)

Share of teachers who have received the minimum organized teacher training (pre-service or in-service) required for teaching in the country, by education level and year, from the UNESCO Institute for Statistics (https://api.uis.unesco.org/api/public/data/indicators). Each row is one (year, area, indicator): trained teachers in primary education (TRTP.1, ISCED 1) and in lower and upper secondary education (TRTP.2T3, ISCED 2-3), both sexes. Method: keyless UIS Data API v1; one request per indicator; null values dropped; rows with qualifier UIS_EST/NAT_EST are estimates. Units: percent of teachers at the level. Caveats: 'minimum required training' varies by national regulation, so cross-country comparisons reflect different qualification thresholds; sparsely observed for many countries (especially pre-2000); latest 1-2 years provisional and revised; regional aggregates have no iso3 code.
