    Major U.S. river latest conditions (15 gages)

    Latest instantaneous river conditions for the same 15 major-river USGS gaging stations as the daily discharge dataset: discharge in cubic feet per second (parameter 00060) and gage height in feet (parameter 00065), each with its observation timestamp (UTC). One row per gage, refreshed daily. Provenance: USGS Water Services Instantaneous Values web service (https://waterservices.usgs.gov/nwis/iv/), U.S. public domain - please credit the U.S. Geological Survey. Observation times differ per gage (telemetry schedules vary); values are provisional and subject to revision. A gage missing a parameter reports null for it, never an invented value. Primary key: site_no. Sample use: order by discharge_cfs desc for today's highest-flowing monitored rivers.

    Daily mean streamflow discharge in cubic feet per second for 15 major-river USGS gaging stations (Potomac, Delaware, Susquehanna, Hudson, James, Apalachicola, Missouri, Mississippi x3, Ohio x2, Yellowstone, Columbia, Willamette), trailing 365 days, refreshed daily. Provenance: USGS Water Services Daily Values web service (https://waterservices.usgs.gov/nwis/dv/, parameter 00060, stat code 00003 = daily mean), U.S. public domain - please credit the U.S. Geological Survey. Coverage: 15 fixed gages across the eastern, midwestern and western United States, trailing 365 days from the refresh date; the most recent 1-2 days are typically absent (daily means are computed after the day closes). Values flagged provisional ('P') are subject to USGS revision; revised values surface as new snapshots. Primary key: (site_no, date). Join keys: site_no (USGS station number), date (ISO). Nullability: discharge_cfs may be null when the service publishes no value for a day. Sample use: filter site_no='07010000' for the Mississippi at St. Louis hydrograph.
