US Industrial Production (FRED, keyless)
Monthly US industrial-production panel, 1919-01 onward: the Federal Reserve Board G.17 Industrial Production total index (2017=100, seasonally adjusted) and total-industry capacity utilization percent (from 1967-01), redistributed keyless via FRED fredgraph.csv, with month-over-month and year-over-year IP change, IP deviation from its trailing-12-month mean, and capacity-utilization deviation from its trailing-12-month mean. The catalog's only US production-level series — regional Fed surveys carry sentiment, durable orders carry demand flow, StatCan carries Canadian industry. Who joins this: sales teams weight manufacturing-exposed territories and pipeline by the production regime; shops read factory momentum as a supply-chain and durable-demand leading indicator; subscription businesses use capacity tightness as a pricing-power feature.
Output & Business-Cycle Signals (derived)
Signals derived from FRED's US output and business-cycle series: 30-period annualized volatility of monthly changes, 3-month momentum, year-over-year percent change, 3-sigma anomaly flags, naive-drift 1-month forecasts, a per-month cross-series volatility rank, and the NBER recession-month streak counter. Covers INDPRO (industrial production index), TCU (capacity utilization), DGORDER (manufacturers' durable goods orders) and USREC (NBER recession indicator). All rows are normalized to country_code USA so they join cleanly with US macro data. Raw series: Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis (FRED).
