US/Canada holiday + payday calendar
Daily demand-calendar features for the US and Canada's 13 provinces/territories, 2025-01-01 to 2027-12-31 (15,330 day x region rows), joinable to shop orders, subscribers, or leads by ISO date and region. Each row flags statutory holidays with federal/provincial tier, names, and source URLs; widely observed non-statutory days (Newfoundland's St. Patrick's/June Holiday/Orangemen's days, Yukon Heritage Day, NWT/Nunavut Easter Monday, US federal observed shifts); long-weekend spans (3+ consecutive non-working days with a holiday); bridge days; days to/since the nearest holiday; and payday proximity on the US federal biweekly-Friday cycle (GSA 2026 payroll calendar, Thursday-shifted on federal-holiday Fridays) and Canada's federal biweekly-Wednesday cycle — documented proxies for private-sector payday effects. calendar_demand_score (0-100) = min(100, 45*holiday + 25*observed + 20*long_weekend + 15*bridge_day + 20*payday + 10*within_2d_of_payday). Holidays are computed from verified statutory rules, so future dates are exact. Caveats: provincial in-lieu rules for weekend holidays are not encoded; Quebec's Easter Monday-for-Good-Friday substitution is not encoded; US state-specific holidays are out of scope; payday cycles are federal-government proxies.
