Environment and Climate Change Canada — MSC GeoMet weather alerts
Daily Canadian weather-alert intelligence from ECCC's keyless MSC GeoMet weather-alerts API. Active alert features are deduplicated into episodes (one issuance covering many regions = one episode), scored with a documented severity formula (risk colour x impact x confidence x alert type, max 100), and rolled into a dense 13-province/territory panel carrying episode counts by risk band and alert type, top-episode bilingual names and verbatim summaries, a documented 0-100 alert_pressure_score min-maxed across provinces, pressure_rank and pressure_tier. Primary key: (as_of, province_code). Cadence: daily; as_of is the UTC fetch date. Caveats: alerts are ephemeral — the snapshot covers what is active at fetch time; scores are a relative within-day gauge, not a forecast. Sample use: order by pressure_rank for the provinces under the most alert pressure today.
