CDC National Notifiable Diseases Surveillance System
Weekly notifiable-disease intelligence from the CDC's keyless NNDSS Weekly Data endpoint (U.S. public domain): the latest complete MMWR week as a disease-by-jurisdiction panel (120 disease labels x 57 reporting areas — 50 states + DC + NYC + 5 territories; aggregate rows excluded). Agent-side intelligence: flag-aware measure parsing ('-' -> 0, 'N'/'U' -> null, never imputed), outbreak_flag when the current-week count exceeds the previous-52-week maximum, YTD year-over-year ratios, a documented 0-100 disease_burden_score (40% national weekly cases, 35% outbreak-state share, 25% national YTD, min-maxed across the week's diseases) with dense rank and quartile tiers s1..s4, plus per-jurisdiction weekly totals, outbreak counts and top disease. Cadence: weekly; as_of is the Saturday ending the published MMWR week, so identical input yields an identical content hash. Caveats: provisional counts subject to revision; nulls where jurisdictions don't report make national sums lower bounds; the score is a relative within-week gauge, not a risk assessment. Sample use: filter outbreak_flag for this week's exceedances, or order by disease_burden_rank for the heaviest national burdens.
