Annual police-reported crime rates per 100,000 population from Statistics Canada's Uniform Crime Reporting Survey (table 35-10-0177-01): the same (geography x violation) grid as the companion incidents dataset, expressed as incidents per 100,000 population (July 1 population estimates). Coverage 1998 to the present (Nunavut begins 1999), annual. Caveats: rates for the territories and PEI are noisy — small populations amplify single incidents, especially homicide; police-reported incidents only; genuine upstream gaps are kept missing, never zero-filled; the latest year is occasionally revised the following July.
