Air transport, passengers carried
Air passengers carried, domestic and international, by air carriers registered in each country, regardless of the passengers' origin or destination. The World Bank publishes the indicator in the World Development Indicators from International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) data — Civil Aviation Statistics of the World and ICAO staff estimates. The 8-country panel is fully covered 2000-2023. Counts attribute passengers to the carrier's registration country, so a country's figure reflects its airlines' networks rather than traffic through its airports.
