World Bank water security panel (renewable endowment + water stress)
Value-added panel of the World Bank's World Development Indicators (keyless API v2, CC BY 4.0): renewable internal freshwater resources per capita and in total, plus the level of water stress — freshwater withdrawal as a proportion of available freshwater resources (SDG 6.4.2) — for ~250 economies, 1961-2022, with derived stress bands (WRI Aqueduct), implied withdrawals, 10-year scarcity changes and within-year stress ranks. The resource-side companion to the access-side unicef_wash_intel panel; joins on economy_code with the catalog's other World Bank panels.

| Column | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| economy_code | string | ISO 3166-1 alpha-3 economy code (World Bank API field countryiso3code). |
| economy_name | string | Economy name as published by the World Bank API. |
| region | string | World Bank region (API field region.value). |
| income_group | string | World Bank income group (API field incomeLevel.value). |
| year | integer | Reference year (1961-2022; the stress series is measured sparsely — quinquennial-ish vintage — while the endowment series are annual). |
| water_stress_pct | float | Level of water stress: freshwater withdrawal as a proportion of available freshwater resources (WDI indicator ER.H2O.FWST.ZS, SDG 6.4.2, sourced from FAO AQUASTAT). Values above 100% are genuine — withdrawals can exceed renewable supply (desalination, fossil groundwater). (unit: %) |
| stress_band | string | WRI Aqueduct baseline water-stress band (connector-derived from water_stress_pct): low (<10), low-medium (10-20), medium-high (20-40), high (40-80), extremely high (>80). |
| renewable_water_pc_m3 | float | Renewable internal freshwater resources per capita (WDI indicator ER.H2O.INTR.PC, FAO AQUASTAT). Zero is genuine for economies with ~no internal renewable water (e.g. KWT). (unit: m3 per capita) |
| total_renewable_bcm | float | Renewable internal freshwater resources, total (WDI indicator ER.H2O.INTR.K3, FAO AQUASTAT). Long-term averages repeated yearly upstream. (unit: billion m3) |
| implied_withdrawals_bcm | float | Implied annual freshwater withdrawals = water_stress_pct/100 * total_renewable_bcm (connector-derived, informational). Null when either input is null. (unit: billion m3) |
| renewable_pc_change_10y_pct | string | Trailing 10-year percent change of per-capita renewable endowment (the population-driven scarcity lens); null when the base year is absent. (unit: %) |
| stress_change_10y_pp | float | Trailing 10-year change of the stress level, in percentage points; sparse (quinquennial-ish vintage), null when the base year is absent. (unit: pp) |
| stress_rank | integer | Rank of water_stress_pct within the year (1 = highest stress); null where stress is null. (unit: rank) |
| row_hash | string | Deterministic 12-hex row identity hash (economy_code|year). |
