Unemployment rate by sex and educational attainment, annual, for ~190 countries, from the ILO's ILOSTAT reported database (national labour force surveys and microdata processing — not the ILOEST modelled estimates) — dataflow DF_UNE_DEAP_SEX_EDU_RT. Method: unemployed persons as a percentage of the labour force, broken down by six harmonized aggregate education levels (total; less than basic; basic; intermediate; advanced; level not stated) that are comparable across national classifications. Units: percent. Caveats: these are nationally reported figures under the previous ILO definition (ICLS13), not harmonized modelled estimates, so cross-country comparability is weaker than for the modelled slices; age coverage follows national definitions (e.g. 16+ in the United States); country-year coverage varies and series carry breaks when national methodology is revised.
