Agricultural pesticide use from FAO's FAOSTAT Pesticides Use domain (RP): use in tonnes of insecticides, herbicides, fungicides and bactericides, plant growth regulators, rodenticides and other pesticides, ~221 countries and territories x 1990-2024, plus FAO-published use intensity (kg/ha of cropland, kg/capita, g per Int$ of agricultural production), group shares of the published total, the dominant group, world shares, within-year ranks and trailing 10-year changes. Who joins this: agri-chemical desks read herbicide/insecticide intensity as the demand side of the crop-protection market; environmental regulators track kg/ha intensity against national reduction targets; ag economists join intensity on (area, year) to yield, fertilizer and food-price panels.
