Homicide victim rates by relationship, annual (Europe)

Annual rates of intentional homicide victims per 100,000 inhabitants by victim-offender relationship - for EU member states, EFTA countries and EU candidate countries. Eurostat dataset crim_hom_vrel ('Intentional homicide victims by victim-offender relationship and sex'), filtered to freq=A, unit=P_HTHAB ('Per hundred thousand inhabitants'). Each row is one (year, country, relationship category, sex): the three published relationship categories are intimate partner or family member (IPTN_FAM), family member (FAM) and intimate partner (IPTN), each broken down by sex (T='Total', M='Male', F='Female'). Method: Eurostat compiles the statistics from national police and criminal-justice data collections; rates use the resident population as the denominator. Non-EU/EFTA/candidate series (the UK sub-national series UKC-L/UKM/UKN, Kosovo) are dropped (same licensing rule as the other Eurostat datasets). Units: victims per 100,000 inhabitants. Caveats: intimate-partner homicide is the femicide-relevant measure but national definitions and under-recording differ, so cross-country levels are less comparable than within-country trends; published sex totals occasionally differ from male+female sums upstream (e.g. AL 2015 T=19 vs M+F=21) - values are kept verbatim and never recomputed.
